Today, the Handy product line is owned solely and manufactured in its entirety by Janco. When the economic conditions required a closure of the business in 2010, Joel Jansen and a business acquaintance, Thomas Deimerly, saw an opportunity to turn a business, that was once a customer of both of them, around, in turn carrying on a tradition of manufacturing American-made products that are built to last a lifetime. Handy was originally Western Manufacturing, founded in Marshalltown, Iowa, in 1964. Janco Industries, Inc., is a family-owned and operated business in Sully, Iowa, founded in 1993 by Ron Jansen and now owned by Joel and Deann Jansen. In late 2011, Janco became the sole owner of the Handy product line. Under the top of the SL-24 and SL-30 you will find heavy gauge rectangular tubing supports which make our Lift Top the strongest in the industry. Both the SL-24 and SL-30 boasts a huge 1" Greasable pivot pin, both have a boxed in frame made from over 1/4" think C-Channel frame member. The frame and phenolic wheels are the same for both series. The 6" Diameter x 27" Long Cylinder has an 1/8" wall, a CNC machined Piston and is used in the SL-24 & SL-30 air lifts. Our SL-Series air lifts incorporate common parts and assemblies which can be used across the spectrum of the SL line. It took over 2 years of research and development, but in the fall of 2015, we released our new line at the AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida. HMC saw a need to bring a new style of lift with new features and standards more in line with the 21st century. Their design and products were solid, but lacked current ingenuity and upgrades. For what seems like forever, the ONLY choice consumers had for an American Made Motorycycle Lift was from Handy Industries, LLC.

The HF life table height was 31" and wild it was better than working on the floor a few more inches in elevation would have kept me from hunching over when working on the lower 1/2 of a bike. It also has a 42" deck height which really bring the work to a comfortable height. It came with front and side extensions, 4 ramps and 2 support poles. After searching I settled on a Titan electric/hydraulic. Last spring I decided that I wanted a new lift/table to replace my trusty HF lift.
